The Bridge...

So we definitely needed to get out of the house a little tonight, and we thought we could go grab dinner with some friends at one of our favorite places- Maxwell's (off of 35W & Washington). Since it was so close to the bridge collapse, we decided to walk down. Today they opened up the Stone Arch Bridge in the St. Anthony Main area and we headed that way. Once we got close to the Stone Arch , we could see the masses on the bridge, and they were coming and going. We never quite made it all the way on the bridge, instead we detoured and ended up in the new Guthrie- they have an amazing look out area.

It still doesn't really seem real- and it seems so much bigger seeing it first hand (and we could only see about 1/2 of it). It's still pretty crazy- to think that a bridge- one that really didn't even seem like a bridge, could just collapse. How many times have we driven that road and not even realized we were on a bridge?! This morning during Sunday School, we talked about being kind to others- and we talked about the bridge- about all the heroes that survived, got out of their cars and then went to help others! It's pretty amazing. When I asked the kids what we could do to help, a couple of them said, "Well, we could pray for all the families!" And so we did.

Here are a few pictures from our walk today...
